This is a huge building block game for the Bulls, who have completely rebuilt under head coach Turner Gill. Once the worst team in Division I, they have a realistic chance at winning the division.

Buffalo returns 18 starters from their best ever team at the Division I level. On the other hand, The Miners are expected to play 16 true and redshirt freshmen tonight. Buffalo only has six true freshman and none start.

Buffalo expects a crowd of 20,000, which is quite big for them, so this is a huge game. They are the better team. They have home field advantage and UTEP is traveling quite a distance for this contest.

While we admit that we think experience can be overrated, it is noteworthy when a bad team plays their first game more than a thousand miles away.
