Michael Phelps Olympic Betting Odds

Will Michael Phelps get his eight Gold Medals? The
bookmakers seem to think so (Olympic Betting
Odds
). Phelps is a stunning 1/25 favorite to win the Men’s 200 meter
butterfly.

For betting novices, that means a gambler would have to
risk $100 for every $4 he would win. Grandmaster sports handicapper Joe Duffy said
only half-jokingly, “I think most bookies would give you better odds to wager
on an NFL game after it’s over.”

Should he stumble, sports bettors have an opportunity to
make a fortune. Countryman Gil Stovall is 10/1 and Greek Ionnnis
Drymonakos is next at 16/1.

Phelps is considered more beatable in the 200 meter
individual medley at 1/8. Ryan Lochte is 4/1 and
medal contender Laszlo Cseh is 20/1.

Oh and the 100 meter butterfly may even have some
suspense, says NewBodog.
Phelps is 1/3 with fellow Yankee Ian Crocker the most likely spoiler at 9/4. Frenchman
Frederick Bousquet is 18/1.

SEC Football Betting Preview

Sports Betting at the Sportsbook

Georgia
is No. 1 in the country in the NCAA Football Coaches Poll and the consensus
choice to win the Southeastern Conference East Division, but not so fast say
the oddsmakers.

We compare the Stassen.com consensus of 13 publications to
the Vegas betting line for college football
futures
for the SEC divisions.

NewBodog has Florida
even money to win the SEC East, with the Bulldogs a close second at 5/4. Georgia
is picked to win the division outright by 8-of-13 annals, the Gators in four,
with one publication having them deadlocked.

The cumulative prognostications have Tennessee
third, followed by South Carolina,
Kentucky and Vanderbilt rounding
out the East. The oddsmakers agree at 7/2 for the Volunteers, 7-1 for the
Gamecocks and 30/1 for the Commodores.

Sports bettors have a sensational opportunity in the West
Division. Auburn is the 5/4
favorite at the sportsbooks, LSU at
7/4 and Alabama at 5/2. However,
the preseason consensus has the respective Tigers flip-flopped (which reminds
us, check out the odds
for U.S. President
) with LSU first and Auburn second.

Mississippi
State is 10/1, Ole Miss 15/1 and Arkansas
at 15/1. This perfectly corresponds with the consensus publication selections.

Linesmakers Say Clemson and Virginia Tech To Meet in ACC Championship Game

Bet at 5Dimes

This time of the year, for the benefit of sports fans and
sports bettors alike, we compare the Stassen.com consensus of 13 publications
to the Vegas betting line for college football
futures
.

This article will focus on the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The preseason rags and oddsmakers agree that Clemson and Virginia Tech are
destined to meet in the ACC Championship game. Clemson is favored to win the
Atlantic Division in 12-of-13 publications (Sports Illustrated has them tied
with Wake Forest) and they all have powerhouse Virginia Tech winning the
Coastal Division.

However, Grandmaster sports handicapper Joe Duffy warns
that, “Clemson always finds a way to lose games they should win.” The
sportswriters and oddsmakers don’t agree on the likely heir to the throne.

While Clemson is a 10/11 favorite to win the division, Florida
State
is next according to the sportsbooks at 2/1, then Wake
Forest
at 7/2 and Maryland
at 7/1.

However the compilation actually has the Demon Deacons
projected to finish second to the Tigers. The Seminoles are third, followed by
the Eagles, Terrapins and Wolf Pack.

This is quite dissimilar to the bookmakers who have Boston
College
given the least chance at
16/1, a notch below North Carolina State
at 15/1.

The linesmaker does not
necessarily think that Virginia Tech is the living lock in the Coastal Division
that the newsstands do. Though the Hokies are 11/1, Miami
is just 5/2, and traditional doormat North Carolina
is 3/1.

The magazines actually have the Tar Heels projected ahead
of the Hurricanes. While the glossies have Virginia
fourth and Georgia Tech fifth, the oddsmakers have them inversed. The Ramblin’ Wreck are 13/2 and the Cavaliers
10/1.

Nobody gives Duke much of a chance. Twelve of the 13 fanzines
have them destined for last and the linesmakers put their likelihood at 25/1.

OffshoreInsiders.com
has all the odds
to win each conference not to mention the top college football handicappers.

NSAWins

Sonny LaFouchi of NSA Wins is a well
marketed website using some of the hard-sell techniques employed by John
Morrison
, Sports Advisors
,
Jonathan Stone and Sporting News Radio, the Duke Wins.

NSAWins sales pitch is the
complete opposite of the laid back approach of Don Best
handicappers
for example. Sonny also operates VegasSI.com, which is an acronym
for Vegas Sports Insider.

His sports
service
has never finished in the Top 100 as monitored by MasterLockLine.com

Sports Betting Champ, John Morrison

John
Morrison, Sports Betting Champ
is a progressive betting system in which he
claims to have hit 97 percent winners. While his claims may be a bit exaggerated,
the computer plays at MasterLockLine.com
has used his system.

His aggressive sales pitch is similar to that of National
Sports Advisors (NSAWins.com), not to be confused with the Sports
Advisors
, Jeff Allen, Stu Feiner,
Johnny DeMarco, Blazer Sports, Jack Price, Mike Wynn,
and others.

According to Cy McCormick, head of the online betting
syndicate MasterLockLine.com, unlike
the others, John
Morrison, Sports Betting Champ
has turned a profit long-term.

Sports Advisors

SportsAdvisors actually traces
their roots back to the original free telephone scoreboards, then known as SportsLine. However, the founder, known as “Big Red” did
not have the foresight to copyright the name. When SportsLine.com did as such,
they sent a cease-and-desist order to sports betting pioneer “Big Red” to stop
using the SportsLine brand. The score lines went to
the more generic “free scoreboard” moniker.

The early days featured such up-and-comers Mark Lawrence,
Mel Stewart, former NFL head coach and NFL Hall-of-Fame inductee Hank Stram, and legendary broadcaster Ray Scott. It has also
been a major stepping stone for such accomplished sports handicappers as Joe Duffy’s
Amazing Cadillac Club (JD of the ACC), theRealAnimal,
Jonathan Mardukas, Chris Jordan and his doppelganger
Oscar Dooley, the Lock Line and SuperLockLine, which begat MasterLockLine.com

Other handicappers who purchased advertising time, though
are not alumni, include included Brandon Lane
(Brandon Link), Sean Michaels the
Sports Broker, and Mike Anthony (the Million Dollar Man), and Jeff Allen.

Much like Vegas Insider,
the scorephone during its SportsLine days consisted
only of the most reputable handicappers. The Tailgate
Party
for years was a must-call for every serious gambler as Joe Duffy,
Stevie Vincent and Chris Jordan gave gamblers the ATS edge with timely free sports betting information.

When “Big Red” sold the enterprise to television tout Stu Feiner the scorephones slowly
but surely took a turn into the hard-sell and began mimicking the Johnny DeMarco and Jack Price audiotext sports phone.

Literally every top handicapper left for the
Freescoreboard toll-free scorephone. Feiner
eventually sold to Steve Budin, son of one of the
early offshore sportsbook owners. Budin free spending
has help rebuild the Sports Advisors group around a patchwork assembly of
handicappers.

Hoping to learn from frequent missteps, Feiner has re-entered the scorephone arena led by
journeyman tout Chuck Franklin and several upstarts.

Tailgate Party Returns for Pointspread Players

The famed free scoreboard Tailgate Party goes high tech this
football season at OffshoreInsiders.com.
Sports bettors, free of charge, will have access to live NFL betting lines both
for the preseason
line
and regular
season
odds.

“The difference is that on the scorephones, one had only
one report available for a limited time before the next report would override
it,” says CEO Joe Duffy. However, all features will be available at all times
on the web version.

NFL bettors can get ATS (against the
spread) trends
, as well as free
sports picks from the nation’s top sports
handicappers
GodsTips, Stevie Vincent, and the MasterLockLine. Punters also
get game previews
written purely from the standpoint of the football bettor. One of our most
popular features is late breaking and real-time football injuries and weather
radar for fantasy football and gamblers alike.

The newest feature will be the betting trends where
players can see who the public is betting on before investing with the sportsbooks. In fact, the consensus picks
will be on the same page as live NFL scores.

Key sports betting news and notes will be released early
in the week and updated with late-breaking information on game day. OffshoreInsiders.com
will also have exclusive in-depth previews on the marquee games.

Fantasy football
players will not take a backseat either as rotisserie football and sports betting information overlap.
Placing a bet before taking full advantage of the NFL Tailgate Party is a
dereliction of duty.

Note, some of the features will not become active until
the regular season, but information will still abound for NFLX.
However, the famed “preseason primer” with key player rotations, motivation and
intangible data and more will highlight our NFLX
features.

Vegas Insider

With the help of CBS Sportsline,
Vegas Insider was certainly the first major player as far as sports betting information is
concerned. They also had, shall we say, “cozy” relationship with Sportsbook.com
and helped vault that entity as one of the first multinational sportsbooks.

Much like OffshoreInsiders.com
has been since Day 1 and remains unchanged, for the first several years of its existence,
VegasInsider.com hired handicappers based purely on credibility, led by the
universally respected Russ Culver. All the original handicappers such as the
late Mike Lee and Ken White, were
considered credible by almost all industry insiders.

The problem was the commission rate that VegasInsider paid was pittance and all the top handicappers
went elsewhere.

Vegas Insider then did an about face and developed
partnerships with the likes of Stu Feiner and Wayne Root, touts better known for their
marketing prowess than sports
handicapping
,

They even briefly tried a relationship with radio
handicapping pioneer Dave “the MeatmanScandaliato. Very few sports handicappers have had
long-term relationships with Vegas Insider, essentially because the top
tipsters are paid fish heads and rice and eventually seek employment elsewhere.

During our Freescoreboard.com and OffshoreInsiders.com,
we’ve been contacted by several Vegas Insider alumni looking to make the move
upwards. Mark Franco was the only Vegas Insider expatriate who displayed
handicapping skills good enough to be brought on board, but his abilities fell
short of Joe Duffy, Mike Godsey, Leo Shafto, AnimalSportsPicks,
Stevie Vincent, the SuperLockLine (now MasterLockLine.com)
and he was only a notch better than Oscar Charles Dooley, Jack Stroud, and the
Maniac.
