US Open Odds, College World Series, and Wimbledon Betting Lines Share Spotlight

Righthander Carpenter was tagged with his first loss of the season in his last trip to the mound, giving up three earned runs over seven innings against the Indians. Righthander Bannister pitched a gem last time out against the Reds, surrendering just a single unearned run on four hits over eight innings of work.

As well, the Los Angeles teams will pit brother vs. brother on Saturday night, with the Dodgers’ Jeff Weaver (3-1, 3.72 ERA) taking on the Angels’ Jered Weaver (7-2, 2.08 ERA) in Anaheim. Righthander Jeff Weaver has bounced between the bullpen and the rotation for the Dodgers this season; in his last outing against the Padres he tossed 2 1-3 scoreless innings. Righthander Jered Weaver has won four straight games, tossing a shutout against the Padres in his start last Sunday.
