It appears Frank Vogel’s days are numbered in L.A. 

So, who will be the next fall guy for Rob Pelinka? A grizzled veteran or a newbie head coach? How about a player-coach?

SportsBetting has set odds on the Lakers head coach at the start of the 2022-23 regular season, and there are some familiar as well as outlandish names on the list.

The Lakers’ current assistant coach, David Fizdale, is the favorite, while the current head generals for the Jazz and 76ers are second and third, respectively. 

There are a couple of college names on the list, and the longshots, well, are longshots for good reason. But it’s always fun to speculate.

Worth noting…LeBron James would be the first player-coach since Dave Cowens led the Celtics during the 1978-79 campaign.
