Saturday Betting: College Football and NBA

The top teams in college football will be in action on Saturday and looking to help themselves out in the BCS rankings. Mutts like me and you will be winning big time. Here’s an overview in your Daily Sports Roundup.

The Gridiron Spotlight

The Alabama Crimson Tide sit atop the polls and the BCS rankings this week, but who’ll be in that spot next week?  This game highlights a great betting card Saturday. Well, it’ll still be the Crimson Tide if they can knock off No. 15 LSU on the road on Saturday. The Tide, who are 9-0 straight-up and 6-3 against-the-spread this year, are 3.5-point favorites to win. LSU is 6-2 SU and 3-4 ATS this season.

If the Tide stumble it’ll leave an opening for No. 2 Texas Tech to leap into the top spot. The Red Raiders will be looking to follow up their upset versus Texas with another big win over No. 8 Oklahoma State on Saturday. Texas Tech is favored by 3.5 points at home, and they’re 9-0 (4-2-1 ATS) on the season. Oklahoma State is 8-1 and 8-0 ATS.

No. 3 Penn State is listed as a 7.5-point road favorite against Iowa on Saturday, but the rest of the Top 10 teams in action are all expected to deliver blowouts. No. 4 Florida is favored by 24 points at Vanderbilt, while it’s Baylor at No. 5 Texas (-28), No. 6 Oklahoma (-25) at Texas A&M, and No. 21 California at No. 7 USC (-22.5). 8-0 (5-2 ATS) Boise State, No. 9 in the polls, is listed as a 35-point home favorite vs. Utah State.

British Columbia and Saskatchewan then take the field at 4:00pm ET, with the Roughriders sitting as 4-point home favorites. The total for that contest is also at 53.5.
