NASCAR Betting – Look For Ambrose To Snatch First Cup Win

Those going through their US Open betting odds could have some extra time on Sunday due to Thursday’s round being postponed, so take that extra time and head over to your sportsbook, where you’ll find NASCAR betting odds for the Toyota Save/Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway. This is one of only two road courses on the Sprint Cup slate, and Kyle Busch is the defending race-winner, as well as the favorite on Sunday.

Sonoma Odds – Sunday, June 21, 3:30 PM ET

Busch has been up and down this year, but because he’s a threat to win anywhere, anytime, he has NASCAR odds of +450. The No.18 driver has two top-10s in four Sonoma races, but those making sports betting picks have to wonder how the travel will affect Busch, who is also the favorite for the Nationwide race in Milwaukee on Saturday night. That’s quite a flight that he’ll have to overcome, but if anyone can do it, it’s the man they call “Rowdy”.

Tony Stewart is next at +500, and the points leader has a pair of victories at Infineon (formerly called Sears Point) and a 10.0 average in nine races there. The No.14 driver is known as one of the top road racers in NASCAR thanks to his open-wheel and dirt-track beginnings, and win No.2 as a driver/owner could be just at the end of the winding track.

He’ll have to deal with Jeff Gordon, who has NASCAR odds of +550 and is looking for his sixth win at Infineon. Gordon is a Northern California boy, so he always like coming back home. Coming off a second-place run at Michigan, you can’t count him out.

Juan Pablo Montoya has raced here only twice, but he won his first time, and finished sixth last year. The former F1 champion has NASCAR odds of +650 this week after racking up back-to-back top-10s for the first time in his Cup career at Pocono and Michigan, and he’s only 43 points out of the 12th spot, aka the cutoff for the Chase. Montoya fully expects to win here and should move up in the standings.

However, Marcus Ambrose is getting some love from betting services with NASCAR odds of +750, a big jump from starting the week around +1150. Don’t let last year’s 42nd-place NASCAR results fool you: Ambrose was running third before he was spun out by Elliot Sadler. Ambrose got his start in NASCAR as a road-course specialist, and with his background in Australian Supercars, he knows how to get around a road course as well as anyone. Look for Ambrose to win at the Cup level for the first time and pick up a NASCAR betting victory this week.
