Bodog Brings NFL Preseason Picks Previews

Reports are that the Buffalo Bills are about to sign Mike Vick. X-games fans mourn the death of skateboarding pioneer Andy Kessler, Rick Pitino girlfriend, Karen Sypher pictures are popping up all over the internet.

Not only is Bodog the source for PGA Championship live stream tour odds from Hazeltine National Golf Club, they have the ultimate betting previews whether the game appears on the NFL preseason TV schedule or not. It’s also the anniversary of race car driver Tim Richmond’s death.

In Hollywood entertainment news, Les Paul, the legendary guitarist and inventor has died at age 94. He has a series of hits in the 1950s with his wife Mary Ford.

Actor John Quade has also died at age 71.

Sports bettors already have the betting previews free for the Steelers-Cardinals, Eagles-Patriots, Cowboys-Raiders, Redskins-Ravens.

But it is information overload as gamblers get the Bodog version of the preseason primer.

Football is back in Dallas, but the Cowboys will start the 2009 season without one of their main weapons on offense.

Terrell Owens, of course, was released by the Cowboys in the offseason and picked up by the Buffalo Bills.

The Cowboys will play their first game of the preseason on the road vs. the Oakland Raiders, and Bodog has made Tony Romo and the Cowboys a 1-point road underdog on Thursday.

The Raiders will be keeping a close watch on their QB battle between Bruce Gradkowski and  Charlie Frye. Frye probably has the upper hand, but with Jeff Garcia scheduled to return soon from injury one of these two with NFL experience could find their reps dramatically reduced.

For the Cowboys, Roy Williams is starting to get on the same page with Romo. Williams is in the best shape of his career, but don’t expect him to fully fill Owens’ shoes.

The Arizona Cardinals came close to winning the Super Bowl last season vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now, they will get a chance to seek their revenge in Week 1 of the NFL preseason, as they meet the Steelers at Heinz Field.

Bodog has the line set at -3 for the Super Bowl champions as Thursday’s game approaches.

Of course some key players will be missing from this matchup – it will be all about the second string squads. This game means very little to the Steelers since no matter what happens, they are still the uncontested Super Bowl champs until the next big game.

Now that the Cards have released RB Edgerrin James and lost DE Antonio Smith to free agency, it will be interesting to see first-round draft pick Beanie Wells splits RB duties with second-year back Tim Hightower.

Can the Cards get some form of payback on Thursday?

How about a neighborly affair between the Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Ravens to kick off a Thursday night of preseason football?

The 3-point favored Ravens are coming off an 11-5 season in which they made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game. The team did lose defensive coordinator Rex Ryan as he left to take the top spot with the Jets, as well as two defensive starters in Bart Scott and Jim Leonhard.

The Redskins have some choices to make at quarterback during the exhibition season. Jason Campbell is the clear-cut starter, but there is a battle for the third-string spot between Colt Brennan and rookie Chase Daniel. If the coaching staff likes what they see out of the two youngsters, it may be veteran quarterback Todd Collins who gets cut.

Thursday’s game is scheduled to get underway at 7:30pm ET at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

Thursday’s meeting between the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles won’t be the game it could be just because Tom Brady will only be throwing a few sets.

Although it won’t be a lengthy showing, New England fans will just be happy to see Brady back under center.

The Eagles have been hurt by training-camp injuries, most recently to Kevin Kolb, who figured to get a lot of action in this game as he’s been tabbed as the backup to starting QB Donovan McNabb. This means more time for A.J. Feeley, a very experienced quarterback.

The 3-point underdog Patriots never really put too much stock in preseason games, while the Eagles will be taking it a little more seriously being at home. There shouldn’t be much scoring on Thursday as these two have solid defenses.

If you actually put any stock in trends during preseason, the Patriots have won two straight in Philly.
