Online gaming group BETonSPORTS Chief Executive David Carruthers waived his right to a detention hearing in federal court on Friday and will remain in custody.
At a brief hearing, U.S. Magistrate Judge Charles Bleil ordered Carruthers to be transferred to the Missouri district, where a federal grand jury issued an indictment charging 11 individuals and four corporations with racketeering, conspiracy and fraud.
Carruthers was arrested earlier this week as he changed planes in Dallas en route from Britain to Costa Rica.
