The Texans (5-5 SU, 5-4-1 ATS) will try to tag the Colts (10-0 SU, 6-4 ATS) with their first loss of the season on Sunday when the teams meet in Houston in early-afternoon NFL action. Houston was defeated 20-17 by the Titans on Monday night, with Matt Schaub throwing for 305 yards and two touchdowns in that loss. The Colts won their 10th straight game with a 17-15 victory in Baltimore last time out. Peyton Manning threw for 299 yards in that game, with one TD and two INTs. Oddsmakers have the Colts as 3.5-point faves, with the total at 47.5 points.
Other afternoon games on the NFL betting Sunday schedule: Miami (-3) at Buffalo, Seattle (-3) at St. Louis, Washington at Philadelphia (-9), Tampa Bay at Atlanta (-12), Cleveland at Cincinnati (-14), Carolina at the Jets (-3), Kansas City at San Diego (-14), Jacksonville at San Francisco (-3), Arizona at Tennessee (-3), and Chicago at Minnesota (-11). The Bears (4-6 SU, 4-6 ATS) were beaten 24-20 by the Eagles last week, and the Vikings (9-1 SU, 6-3-1 ATS) trounced Seattle 35-9.
As well, the NFL’s Sunday night matchup for the week has Pittsburgh at Baltimore. The Steelers (6-4 SU, 3-7 ATS) will be looking to bounce back from an 27-24 overtime loss in Kansas City last week, with Ben Roethlisberger throwing for 398 yards with three TDs and two INTs before getting knocked out of the game. The Ravens got 256 yards and one interception from Joe Flacco in their loss to the Colts last weekend, while Billy Cundiff paced the offense with five FGs.

Meanwhile, the Canadian Football League will stage the Grey Cup on Sunday night, with Montreal taking on Saskatchewan at Calgary‘s McMahon Stadium. Oddsmakers have the Alouettes listed as 9.5-point favorites for Sunday’s championship, with the total for the contest at 55.5 points at SportsBook .

The NBA offers up 10 games on Sunday, with Phoenix at Toronto, Atlanta at Detroit, Memphis at the Clippers, Orlando at New York, Boston at Miami, Philadelphia at San Antonio, Houston at Oklahoma City, Minnesota at Denver, New Orleans at Sacramento, and New Jersey at the Lakers. Kobe Bryant and company took a break from their homestand with a game at Golden State on Saturday night; the Lakers sit at 9-2 SU and 6-5 ATS at home so far this season.
On the college hardwood there are games in the Old Spice Classic and 76 Classic tournaments on Sunday, along with a matchup between No. 3 Texas and Rice at Tudor Fieldhouse. The Longhorns (4-0 SU, 4-0 ATS) beat Pittsburgh 78-62 in the CBE Classic championship on Tuesday. Damion Jones poured in 20 points for Texas in that win, while guard Varez Ward suffered a leg injury during warmups and is done for the year. Rice is at 4-1 SU and 1-3 ATS so far this year.
Taking a trip around the rink . . .
Finally, there are just two games on the National Hockey League’s schedule for Sunday, with San Jose at Vancouver and Phoenix at Anaheim. The Coyotes and Ducks met back on November 7 in Southern California, with Anaheim pulling out the 4-3 home victory. Teemu Selanne, Bobby Ryan, Corey Perry, and Mike Brown scored for the Ducks in that win, while Keith Yandle, Scottie Upshall, and Shane Doan replied for the Coyotes. Jonas Hiller made 27 saves in that victory.
