College Action Opens Thursday Night

It’s an exciting time of the year as the college gridiron
season kicks off Thursday night.  Let’s
take a look at some of the marquee action.

Boston College-Central Michigan

This game actually starts off the college season with an
early kickoff on ESPN2 . Though it may seem like a
mismatch on paper, Cy McCormick, head of the online
betting syndicate at OffshoreInsiders.com
believes home field will be a major factor for Central Michigan.
“Never underestimate the importance of fan enthusiasm” he said, when asked how
much of an emotional lift the Chippewas will have in hosting their first ever
nationally televised game.

Boston College
will have five true freshmen on their two-deep roster making their debut under
the bright lights of both the stadium and the TV.

CMU will also have the element of surprise as they are
expected to rotate three quarterbacks in this game, though Dan LeFevour will get the start.

Minnesota-Kent

It is yet another case in which a MAC team is getting a
ton of points at home. But a quick check of the databases at BetOnSports360.com, reminds us that the
Golden Flashes were much more competitive last year than their 1-10 record
indicates.

Three of their losses were by four or fewer points and
another by just a touchdown. Minnesota
lost a pair of 1,000 yard rushers from last year.

Though Stevie Vincent another one of the OffshoreInsiders.com experts
believes Minnesota will stick to
the run as the year goes on, they will open it up early. Those who bet quarter
totals may want to note that Vincent believes that “Their QB Bryan Cupito is a super talented player who has disappointed at
times.  With less of a running game to go
to and playing an overmatched foe, Thursday is a great opportunity for a
breakout game.
