Steelers vs. Broncos

An NFL betting odds alert has just been issued on the battle between the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers.  Yes the Emmy Awards odds 2010 are up, but it’s about Sunday night football.

Currently the best available line on the underdog is at BetUs where Denver is +2.5.

Meanwhile, the best shop to bet the favorite Just Bet Sportsbook where Pittsburgh is -1.5 -120. The total ranges from 37-37.5.

Pittsburgh is 2-0 straight up in NFLX play straight up, while the Broncos are 0-2. For Denver, first-round wideout Demaryius Thomas (foot) and pass rusher Elvis Dumervil (pectoral). The likes of running back Knowshon Moreno (hamstring) and quarterback Tim Tebow are out.

It appears that Ben Roethlisberger will start for Pittsburgh and be followed by Byron Leftwich and Dennis Dixon.

One of the reasons for this alert is that the power ratings for the NFL say that Denver is -1, giving the Broncos a power line edge.

Sunday is on the Phillies and Padres under the seven at PETCO Park.

I am not really a totals guy but every now and then I see something that I like and I pounce. This isn’t a paid play so I’m not really pouncing all that hard but going over 7 runs today in this pitcher’s paradise of a ballpark with two semi stud pitchers just doesn’t seem very possible.

How can one of these teams score 5 runs? That’s what it would take to lose and I just cannot see that happening, no how no way. For one, the Phillies have not hit a lick for a few weeks now and the Padres aren’t yet a juggernaut even with that gaudy record. Throw these two clubs in vast PETCO and put two really tough southpaws on the hill in Cole Hamels and Clayton Richard and we are more than likely looking at a well pitched, fast paced game that ends in the neighborhood of 2-1 or 3-2.

In the first two games of the series both squads were offensively challenged and to believe that anything will be different here just does not make much sense. There is talent on the field with Utley, Howard, Gonzalez and a few others but those three stars all bat from the left side and pretty much everything in this thing is screaming under to me.

The pick: San Diego under 7 at 5 Dimes

For more information: The last few days have been terrible. I can’t make excuses and I won’t make excuses. Every now and then even the best fail at what they dol in every walk of life but this is exactly the point when I pick myself up and prove how I am the best there is in this industry. I am well up and I mean well up for the year and there is a reason for that.

Meeting up on the diamond . . .

The American League schedule for Saturday has Detroit at Toronto, Minnesota at Seattle, Kansas City at Cleveland, Boston at Tampa Bay, Oakland at Texas, Baltimore at the Angels, and the Yankees at the White Sox. CC Sabathia (17-5, 3.02 ERA) is set to take on John Danks (12-8, 3.31 ERA) in that last matchup. Lefthander Sabathia has picked up the win in each of his past four starts, blanking the Mariners on three hits over six innings of work last time out. Lefthander Danks had to settle for a no-decision against the Royals in his last trip to the mound, surrendering two runs over six innings.

Over in the National League on Saturday it’s then Philadelphia at San Diego, St. Louis at Washington, the Cubs at Cincinnati, Florida at Atlanta, Pittsburgh at Milwaukee, the Dodgers at Colorado, Arizona at San Francisco, and Houston at the Mets. Brett Myers (9-7, 3.08 ERA) is slated to pitch for the Astros on Saturday, while the Mets give the ball to Johan Santana (10-8, 2.94 ERA). Righthander Myers got back into the win column last time out, holding the Phillies to two runs on nine hits over his seven innings of work. Lefthander Santana lost to the Astros on August 17, giving up four runs in eight innings.

Titans vs. Panthers Sportsbook Intel

This week’s NFL schedule features a matchup between the Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers.  The NFL predictions experts at Sportsbook have posted the odds on this game at Carolina -3 +100.

The Titans are 1-1 straight up and the Panthers 0-2 in practice play. Carolina has yet to score an offensive touchdown. New starting QB Matt Moore has a horrid QB rating of 34.9.

Four Carolina QBs have been sacked a total of 11 times already. Backup QB Jimmy Clausen has a toe injury, but will still play most of the second half.  WR Steve Smith is out, RB Jonathan Stewart is questionable.

The Titans have a short week off of MNF. Vince Young and the first team offense will play the first half. The Sports Network wire service reports Wideout Justin Gage (thumb) and defensive ends Jacob Ford (hamstring) and William Hayes (knee) are among the question marks for Tennessee heading into Saturday.

Top expert pick on this game: Impressive! The Great One Stevie Vincent is 14-4 with all NFL pre season picks including San Diego over and Atlanta last night. Yes 14-of-18 have cashed in. Level 5 plays are 8-1, which makes it 15-3 with pro football Level 5s going back to a remarkable season—again—last year.

Most gamblers demand tons of NFLX tonight. But most gamblers don’t win. We are only for those who demand winners. Oh get another NFLX over/under but the big story is the National League UNDERDOG of the YEAR among four winners. Click now to purchase Vincent’s total and the huge MLB odds winner.

The most beneficial line on the favorites is at BetUs online sportsbook where the Panthers are laying 2.5.

For those who prefer the underdog Bodog Sportsbook where it’s +3.

Professional gamblers, who use power ratings, have the NFL power line at the Panthers -1.5, so there is value on the Titans.

Bengals vs. Bills NFLX Spread

Because it’s the biggest play today from the nation’s top NFL bettor, ScoresOddsPicks.com has released a Las Vegas odds bulletin on the Buffalo Bills vs. Cincinnati Bengals contest.

NY Yankees Cash Ticket Today Says Pro Gambler

Like an atomic clock, Matt Rivers is restoring honor to the handicapping profession. He has comp winner for Saturday is on the Yankees laying 134 at the Chicago White Sox.

John Danks is a quality lefty and Arod is not in the New York lineup but I’ll take my chances even on the dreaded road chalk today at US Cellular.

CC Sabathia is one of the best pitchers on this planet and to get Joe Girardi’s club after the awful effort last night is worth laying a little bit here. Sabathia continues to win game after game and Jeter, Tex, Cano and the Pinstripers should be just fine even if they have not looked very good over the past week. Things were rough up North in Toronto and game one in Chicago yesterday was a failure. But the Yankees are still one of the best teams in the league and Sabathia is an absolute beast so to think this recent semi skid will continue is unlikely.

Ozzie’s boys are appearing to come back around after a rough month plus where they went from four games up to about five games back of the Twins. They do boast talent with Konerko, Quentin, Ramirez and a few others but they are not the Yankees and after getting blitzed yesterday should be focused and ready to get some revenge.

The pick: NY Yankees -134.

For more information: It’s not Yom Kippur today but it certainly feels like it. I dropped the ball big-time on Friday in a rare poor poor day. The Dolphins showed less than nothing and therefore the Falcons shoved it up my butt in a major release. I have nobody at all to blame but myself as there are no excuses whatsoever.

I am the best handicapper on the planet and just have to prove that today. Two plays including a 300,000* first half winner between the Cardinals and Bears along with a 200,000* winner between the Cubs and Reds. I get right back on that horse today, that you can bet on. Click now to purchase

Top expert picks on today’s card…

It comes from Matt Rivers. It may be the preseason and I do admit that this time of the year can be a joke at times. But there are also games that can be isolated and conquered in a monster way and that is what we have here today.

Three Friday plays and one absolute insane highest rated BOMB, B-O-M-B BOMB! A 500,000* between Atlanta and Miami plus a 200,000* Washington-St. Louis and a 100,000* Tampa Bay and Boston. No holds barred today, none! Matt Rivers historic pick is up now

Meeting up on the diamond . . .

The American League schedule for Friday has Kansas City at Cleveland, Boston at Tampa Bay, Detroit at Toronto, the Yankees at the White Sox, Baltimore at the Angels, Minnesota at Seattle, and Oakland at Texas. Brett Anderson (3-4 SU, 2.86 ERA) will take on Tommy Hunter (10-2, 3.68 ERA) in that last contest. Lefthander Anderson had to settle for a no-decision against the Rays last time out, surrendering just two runs on eight hits over his seven innings of work. Righthander Hunter got back into the win column against the Orioles in his last outing, allowing three runs over his eight innings.

Over in the National League on Friday it’ll be St. Louis at Washington, Houston at the Mets, the Cubs at Cincinnati, Florida at Atlanta, the Dodgers at Colorado, Arizona at San Francisco, and Philadelphia at San Diego. The Phillies will give the ball to Roy Oswalt (9-13, 3.22 ERA) on Friday, while the Padres counter with Mat Latos (13-5, 2.33 ERA). Righthander Oswalt picked up his third straight win last time out, holding the Nationals scoreless on five hits over his seven innings of work. Righthander Latos beat the Cubs in his most recent trip to the hill, surrendering two runs over his seven innings.

Rounding out the Roundup . . .

Finally, there’s one game on the WNBA’s playoff schedule for Friday, with Washington at Atlanta. The Dream won Game 1 of the series 95-90 on the road on Wednesday night as a 5-point underdog. Angel McCoughtry led the way with 28 points for Atlanta in that win, while Coco Miller was good for 21 points. Marissa Coleman scored a team-high 18 points off the bench for Washington, and Crystal Langhorne tossed in 16 points.
