Sportsbetting Sportsbook Says Mid-Major Player MBB Player of Year Favorite

Obi Toppin has turned the heads of college basketball pundits and fans around the country, and he’s caught the eyes of the oddsmakers as well.

According to the latest odds from SportsBetting Toppin is the favorite to take home AP National Player of the Year honors this season. However, Luke Garza comes in a close second.

Toppin would become the first player from a mid-major program to win the award since Jimmer Fredette did so with BYU during the 2010-11 season (Creighton had moved to the Big East when Doug McDermott won in 2013-14). He would be just the second mid-major player to win POY in the last 15 years.

Toppin and the Flyers broke into the AP Poll’s top 3 for the first time all season this week. Dayton also finds itself third in the most recent odds to win the 2019-20 National Championship.

In fact, the top 3 teams on the current title odds board perfectly align with the rankings for the first time all season.

Additionally, conference tournament odds for the MWC and WCC have been set, and Gonzaga (-400) and San Diego State (-175) and are thee odds-on favorites, respectively.

Super Tuesday Real Odds To Bet on State By State

Odds are posted for each state on Super Tuesday by 5 Dimes sportsbook. Odds are based on $100 per bet. Thus, to bet on Joe Biden to win the Alabama primary, one would have to risk $2,600. Essentially the oddsmakers are saying Biden is a lock on Alabama. But to bet on Barry Sanders, one would get $1,700 for every $100 bet.

The field means anyone but. One would collect 12-1 odds if anyone other than Joe Biden wins Alabama.
