Chargers-Seahawks Predictions, Picks, Betting Line

NFL bettors continue to get all the football picks information they need in the free pick section of OffshoreInsiders.com including the official betting preview of the Seattle Seahawks vs. San Diego Chargers.

Bodog has the Chargers -3 with a total of 36 on their football betting lines.

Jim Mora Jr. will be in his first game as head coach for the Seahawks, but he was assistant head coach for Mike Holmgrem and was previously the head man in Atlanta, so the “new coach theory” may not apply so much here.

Seattle is very thin on the offensive line. LT Walter Jones is out, LG Mike Wahle retired because of a shoulder injury, RG Mansfield Wrotto is also out and C Chris Spencer just returned from a sprained ankle.

Seahawks starting QB Matt Hasselbeck will see a series or two as he returns from a back injury. Mobile QB Seneca Wallace will see “considerable time” and Mike Teel will also play late behind center.

“With Seattle having a new offensive coordinator and San Diego‘s blitzing style, it could be a long night for the Seahawks offensive line,” says Cy McCormick of the MasterLockLine, which has the top sports service NFL picks.

Seattle has a lot of young and unproven receivers though they have looked well in camp. Because there is so much competition at wideout, there may be an air attack from Mora according the Covers Experts handicappers.

Chargers superstar LaDainian Tomlinson rarely plays in the preseason, but says there is a 95-percent chance he will start. Head coach Norv Turner said he won’t make that decision until before game time.

Turner did say he told his starters to plan on playing the entire first half, though many will not play the entire half. Turner wants his team to start the regular season better so expect him to emphasize preseason more.

San Diego will be without first round pick Larry English and starting LB Stephen Cooper.

Bills-Bears Betting Breaking News For NFL Handicappers

Packing more power than Tropical Storm Ana, the top college football handicappers are researching everything from the Oregon Ducks to the Minnesota Gophers sports information site.

But Saturday is about Tiger Woods, Gina Carano, and Las Vegas preseason NFL odds so here is the Buffalo Bills-Chicago Bears betting angles.

Buffalo has one game under their belt having lost to the Titans in the Hall-of-Fame game. They will work further on the no-huddle attack. Terrell Owens, the Bills not-always-silent receiver will miss the game.

Bills head coach Dick Jauron indicated he’s not looking to play his starters more than he did last week. “If we do, it will be a few plays more.” So as a point of reference, QB Trent Edwards played nine snaps and the defensive starters played two series.

Bears three-time Pro Bowler Tommie Harris is out with knee and hamstring troubles. He was second on Chicago in sacks last year. CB Charles Tillman, Zack Bowman and FS Danieal Manning are also out. Manning is needed in nickel coverage and on kickoff returns. Tillman and Bowman are their top two CBs.

As a result of the injuries, Chicago will have to shuffle their secondary. The Bears don’t have much talent at wide receiver.

Chicago is adjusting from a run-first offense to a much more wide open one under new QB Jay Cutler. The Bears will play their starters into the second quarter, which is a lot for a first preseason game.

This game will be televised on the NFL Network.
