South Carolina vs. Georgia

Handicapping notes: The Gamecocks were dead last in the SEC in rushing each of the last two years and scored just seven points offensively last week to NC State.

Joe Cox, who took over for top NFL draft pick Matt Stafford at QB is already under the gun. UGA fans are calling for his replacement after he struggled against Oklahoma State. He also had a sore arm earlier in the week.

Now starting RB Caleb King is questionable. He is likely to be less than 100 percent. The last four meetings in the series have seen neither team score 20 points and UGA holds a 15.3-9.5 points per game edge in the head-to-head in Richt versus Spurrier. Only once this decade has either team gotten more than 21 points in the series meetings.

Central Michigan vs. Michigan State

Handicapping notes: On one hand, it could be a look-ahead game for the Spartans as they play at Notre Dame next week. However, MSU may have some motivation to pile up points as Kirk Cousins and Keith Nichol are still in a QB battle.

CMU is quite set at QB where Dan LeFevour is just the second player in history to throw for 3,000 yards and rush for 1,000 in the same year.

Against the spread records: Against the spread records: The Chippewas are 9-0 after getting less than 100 yards rushing last game and 31-13 overall. The Spartans are on an 8-18 home skid and 1-7 at home to opponents with a losing road record.

Iowa vs. Iowa State

Handicapping notes: The Hawkeyes had to block two field goal attempts late last week to avoid a shocker at the hands of Northern Illinois. But now they head to Jack Trice Stadium where they lost two straight and 4-of-5 straight up.

Against the spread records: Iowa is 20-6 after scoring less than 20 points in their last game. Iowa is 18-8 after allowing less than 20 points last game. Iowa State is 10-1 in the series and the underdog has covered five straight.
