Vegas scores and odds free pick Monday is on the Ravens says Matt Rivers. They are getting 1.5 to the NY Jets on ESPN Monday Night Football.
Matt Rivers, who was the winningest handicapper ever—nobody came close—on a large network of sites.
Let me preface this by saying that I am a Jets fan but whenever much is expected from the J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets things seem to snowball in the wrong direction. Rex Ryan’s defense is legit and lights out. Darrelle Revis is insanely great and the team will not allow many points to anybody including Joe Flacco and the Ravens. But Marc Sanchez is just not good and will wind up being the Achilles heel for the men in green.
Top NFL handicappers say that the New York signal caller has shown flashes in small doses and was very good in the playoff game at Indianapolis last season but I have watched him way too many times to believe in the guy. Sanchez is just not very good and not close to Joe Flacco. Yes it’s true that the Baltimore defense is a shell of itself without Ed Reed but Ray Lewis is still around and even if the secondary is banged up I don’t see the former USC QB being able to take advantage. If anything he is going to try and squeeze stuff in there thinking that he can and watch it backfire on him with a couple of turnovers.
The Ravens have a blossoming stud in Ray Rice who may not dominate the New York defense but he will continue to grind away and eventually in a well-played and low scoring game I just see these visitors coming out with the victory.
Flacco, Rice, Boldin and Ray Lew, banged up or not, may be the best team in the AFC and even on the road have my vote today.
The pick: Baltimore Ravens +1.5
