USC-Utah Vegas and Offshore Betting Controversy

There is plenty of controversy as we ready for week 1 NFL picks as the final score of USC-Utah has been changed.

As per on ESPN.com: The final score of USC’s win over Utah at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum has officially been changed from 17-14 to 23-14 after the Pac-12 Conference and USC worked to review a game-ending penalty call, a school spokesperson said Saturday.

The game officials ruled on the field that the Trojans’ blocked kick returned for a touchdown didn’t count and ended the game with the 17-14 final, but the Pac-12 ruled roughly two hours after the game ended that it should have counted and officially changed the score to 23-14.

However sportsbooks continue to recognize the score as 17-14. Caesars oddsmaker Todd “Little Caesar” Fuhrman Tweeted: “We do not recognize defaults prior to the start of the event, suspended games, protests, or overturned decisions for wagering purposes.”

  • Systems and angles software such as ATSdatabase, SportsData, and SportsDataBase and most importantly a private database that exceeds them all
  • Power ratings such as MasseyRatings, Dunkel, Sagarin, KenPom, BCS and RPI simulators, and literally dozens of others
  • Public betting trends on SportsInsights, Sportsbook Spy, and many sportsbooks own websites. Algorithms and systems adjustments are made based on public bias (example towards betting on big favorites and overs), line movements not affected by injuries, high profile vs. lower profile games in order to interpret trends to isolate actionable sharp betting intelligence
  • Very select list of sports handicapping picks including sports services. Varying on the sports, numbering from about 4-to-10 opinions are trusted and leveraged accordingly
  • “Fade” sports services corroborating the above handicappers with picks on the other side of games: a pros vs. schmoes collaboration

Saints vs. Packers

New Orleans is 9-3 on grass. Green Bay is 6-1 on grass and 20-8 overall. The series has gone over five straight.

Sunday, Sept. 11

Steelers vs. Ravens

Pittsburgh is 6-0 to AFC North, 7-2 as road underdogs. Baltimore is 45-22 as home favorites. Pittsburgh under 36-16 as road underdogs.

Lions vs. Buccaneers

Tamps 9-21 on grass, 5-16 at home. Detroit is 7-1 in the series.

Falcons vs. Bears
