The Avalanche improved to 2-1-0 on the season with a 5-4 shootout win on the road over the Red Wings on Tuesday night. David Jones scored twice for Colorado in that victory, while Ryan O’Reilly and Daniel Winnik also found the back of the net for the Avs in regulation time.
